Mailing address: CityRide App LLC, 544 Foxboro Drive, North Salt Lake, UT 84054, United States. The public site also lists info@cityrideapp.com for general questions. Safety and emergencies

If you or someone else is in danger, call 911. Do that before you contact CityRide. CityRide cannot dispatch police, fire, or an ambulance. When you are safe, email support@cityrideapp.com or call +1 (682) 298-4272 and include the trip date and what happened. The apps are designed with safety monitoring and trip anomaly alerts. Those tools do not replace emergency services.

Lost items

If you leave something in a car, email support@cityrideapp.com with the date of the trip, the pickup area, and a description of the item. We can contact the other person on that trip to help return it. We do not guarantee that an item will be found or returned. [TODO: lost-item return fee, if any]. Do not try to meet a driver or rider in an unsafe place. If the item is valuable or the situation feels unsafe, contact local police as well as support.

Payments

When rides are available, rider charges are processed by Stripe and driver payouts are sent through Stripe Connect. CityRide does not store your full card number. Receipts are part of ride history in the app. The name on a card statement will be [TODO: card statement descriptor]. The fare, any service fee, and the driver share are shown in the app before a rider confirms. Those amounts are [TODO: fare structure, service fee, and driver share]. The coming soon site describes instant driver payouts. [TODO: confirm payout speed, any minimum balance, and any payout fee].

To question a charge or ask for a refund, email support@cityrideapp.com with the trip date and the amount. We review requests in good faith. A refund is not guaranteed unless the law requires it. [TODO: refund window and the criteria support will use]. Cancellation fees, if any, are shown in the app before you incur them. [TODO: free-cancellation window, cancellation fee amounts, and any no-show fee].

Your account

Accounts use a phone number and a one-time text code. Riders and drivers must be 18 or older. We do not open accounts for anyone under 13. To delete an account, use the menu in the app and choose Delete account, or follow the delete account page. Changing the phone number on an account is [TODO: whether the phone number can be changed in the app, and how].

Drivers are independent contractors, not employees of CityRide App LLC. Before a driver can go online we review a license, insurance, vehicle registration, and a background check from [TODO: background check vendor].

FAQ

When can I download CityRide?

Coming soon. The rider and driver apps are not on the App Store or Google Play yet. The download buttons on this site stay disabled until launch.

Where is CityRide launching?

Salt Lake City, Utah is the first market. CityRide App LLC operates the service.

Who do I call in an emergency?

Call 911. Contact CityRide only after you are safe.

What information does CityRide use?

Phone number, name, profile photo, location, ride history, ratings, and payments processed by Stripe. Driver applicants also provide a license, insurance, registration, and a background check. We do not sell personal information. The privacy policy is the full description, including Apple and Google privacy categories and California and Utah rights.

Does the app track location in the background?

Riders are located only while the app is in use. Drivers are located in the background only while they are on duty, meaning online or on a trip. Going offline stops that background collection.

Are drivers employees?

No. Drivers are independent contractors. CityRide does not provide employee benefits through the app.

Does CityRide insure the trip?

Drivers must carry the insurance Utah requires. Do not assume CityRide insures the vehicle. [TODO: whether CityRide will carry contingent or commercial insurance, and if so the insurer and the limits].

How do ratings work?

After a trip, the rider and the driver may rate each other. We use ratings for quality and safety. [TODO: rating threshold that affects access].

How do I stop text messages?

Reply STOP to opt out of texts that are not required to sign in or to keep an active trip safe. A one-time code may still be sent if you try to sign in. We do not send marketing texts unless you separately agree. The SMS provider is [TODO: SMS provider name].

Can I use CityRide if I am under 18?

No. The account holder must be 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

How do I delete my account or make a privacy request?

Delete the account from the menu by choosing Delete account, or use the delete account page. For access, correction, deletion of particular information, or a Do Not Sell or Share request, email support@cityrideapp.com. We respond within 45 days.

I left something in the car. What now?

Email support with the trip date, the pickup area, and a description of the item. Call 911 first if you are not safe.
